Dear Plainfield South Band Alumni:
We will be forming an Alumni Band to perform with the Cougar Marching Band during the Homecoming football game on September 30th, 2011. We are trying to find as many alumni as possible to participate in what we hope will be a fun and exciting event. We are e-mailing this invite and information to alums in the hope that you will join us!
As a member of the Alumni Band, you will arrive for rehearsal at 5pm on Friday, September 30. We will all wear “PSHS Alumni Band” sweatshirts (handed out at the rehearsal) as our official uniform. We will rehearse for about 1 hour, then have dinner (included in the cost). We will then march pre-game with the Marching Band, sit in the bleachers with the band during the 1st half, and perform with the band during half time. After half time, you are free to stay with the band or join your friends/family in the stadium.
The cost for this event is $30, which includes the official "Band Alumni" sweatshirt (which we will wear as a uniform) and a dinner. The preferable method of payment is by credit card; however, checks can also be used for payment. Click on the "Show other payment options" link during checkout to get the mailing address and details.
To register, select the "Alumi Band Registration & Sweatshirt" Ticket and follow the instructions. Deadline to sumbit orders is Monday, September 26. If paying by check, we must receive your check by Monday, September 26.
Other Details:
- The Varsity Football Game will begin at approximately 7:15pm. It may be earlier/later depending on the end time of the JV game before it.
- As an alumni band participant, you will NOT have to pay to enter the stadium.
- Instruments: PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT AND ACCESSORIES IF POSSIBLE. Accessories include:REEDS, MOUTHPIECE, LYRE AND FLIP FOLDER. If you designated that you need to borrow an instrument when you registered, we will do our best to find one for you, but it would be helpful if you brought your own accessories. We will only have a limited number of extras on hand. Color Guard: We will have flags for you!
- Music: Once you register, links to the parts will be e-mailed to you. We will also provide copies of the music when you arrive.
